Recently, Seoul Viosys announced that Violeds technology has been applied to sterilization of escalator handrails. This solution is being adopted by EHC Global Inc. ("EHC"), a global escalator and elevator foundry, and a Canadian vertical transportation manufacturer.
According to reports, EHC's handrail sterilization solution using Violeds technology has been installed on escalators and moving walks in various usage environments around the world, including airports, public transportation systems, commercial buildings, shopping malls, department stores, medical institutions, sports Stadiums, museums, government buildings, etc.
Recently, EHC provided the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska, USA and the James Armstrong Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, Canada with Violeds technology-based escalator handrail sterilization solutions.
Patrick Bothwell, vice president of sales at EHC Global, said that in order to meet the growing demand for integrated cleaning, sterilization and disinfection technologies in the vertical transportation sector, EHC has adopted Violeds UVC sterilization modules from Seoul Viosys. Thousands of installations have been completed so far, and it is expected that there will be continued demand in 2021 and beyond.
An official from Seoul Viosys said that as the new crown epidemic continues, people's attention to the disinfection of multi-purpose facilities has increased significantly. It is absolutely necessary to use Violeds in elevators and escalators in public places such as airports, hospitals, shopping malls, stadiums, and even air conditioning systems. Violeds has been proven to kill 99.9% of the new crown virus.
At present, the world's three major brands of refrigerators, dryers, and washing machines have adopted Violeds technology in 2021, and Violeds products have entered the mass production stage.
