According to reports, a Texas-based LED company Atomic Blue recently released a sterilization high-power UVC LED lamp, which has been tested by the National Institutes of Health in a high-standard laboratory to disinfect N95 masks and steel surfaces. It can eliminate 99.9999% of new coronaviruses.
A study by the National Institutes of Health pointed out that after treatment with UV LEDs, N95 masks can be completely sterilized and can maintain operational functions, and can be reused up to three times. The use of UV LED sterilization can extend the service life of N95 masks and can reduce medical personnel from direct air contact with diagnosed patients. Although the study has not yet been reviewed by academic peers, it has begun to circulate widely to help improve the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
Atomic Blue said that the innovative nanotechnology and original cooling technology used on its LED chips have achieved 10.7 times the LED power output and can reach 300W or higher. Compared with the highest power output of products currently on the market around 100W, Atomic Blue's technology can effectively and quickly meet the needs of disinfection and sterilization.
